Born in Rio but living in Europe since 2005, Fe Pinheiro studied cinema in Brazil before receiving a PhD in visual anthropology at EHESS/College de France in Paris.
His photography career started with documentary photo work about prisons and urban conflicts in Brazil. He has always been interested in capturing the emotions behind the images of the characters he shoots, which is why one of his main talents is portraiture, developed in collaboration with several prestigious publications.
In 2008, he moved to London and became interested in fashion photography. Since then, he’s produced many important fashion works.
Fe divides his time between Los Angeles, New York, Rio and Paris.
